The Knack- One of The Most Rocking and Underrated Bands!

The Knack has always been one of my all time favorite bands. Their biggest album "Get The Knack" has sold over 6 million copies so far, and is a fantastic album from start to finish! It's just loaded with fun catchy power-pop rockers, backed by great musicianship. They are one of the tightest rock bands ever.

Unfortunately, Doug Fieger, leader of The Knack who sang on the 1979 hit "My Sharona," and all their other songs died of cancer this past Sunday. He was 57. I was fortunate enough to meet Doug after one of their concerts a couple years ago, the band sounded fantastic, and he couldn't have been a nicer guy!

Ringo Starr Gets Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame!

I was fortunate enough to be at Ringo Starr's Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony where Ringo got his own star! It was a really great star studded affair. Thousands of fans showed up, along with a media circus outside the Capitol Records building in Hollywood where the it was held.

Judas Priest and AC/DC Win Their First Grammy Awards- FINALLY!

Rob Halford and Scott Travis of Judas Priest.

Judas Priest won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance for "Dissident Aggressor" from their album "A Touch of Evil Live". This is Judas Priest's 5th Grammy nomination.

The Grammy for best hard rock performance went to AC/DC for "War Machine" from "Black Ice".

It's the first Grammy win for both bands. And the 5th nomination for Priest. It's about time they've been recognized! It seems the Grammy's are finally getting more and more with it. This year's performances on the awards show were some of the best ever! Some of the highlights were Lady Gaga and Elton John performing together, Pink, Beyonce, and Bon Jovi with Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles.

Tom Cruise and John Travolta Take Part in Haiti Relief Fundraising Efforts

Tom Cruise and John Travolta took part in the Haiti relief fundraising efforts, along with John's wife Kelly Preston and tons of other big celebrities.

John Travolta also piloted a plane to Haiti to take some Volunteer Ministers, supplies and some medics.

Teams of Scientology Volunteer Ministers from throughout the U.S., Mexico, Europe and elsewhere will provide administrative and organizational support to the medical teams, distribute supplies, and provide trauma relief and grief counseling to the victims and their families.
