American skiers really cleaned up at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver!Their medals represent the highest total for U.S. skiers at any Olympics, and twice as many as any other country collected over the past two weeks.
Amongst the winners in Alpine Skiing are:
Bode Miller-a Gold, a Silver, and a Bronze! Bode is now the most decorated American Alpine skier in History!
Lindsey Vonn- a Gold, and a Bronze!
And Julia Mancuso- two Silvers!
After winning gold at the 2006 Games , Mancuso is now the only American woman to win three Olympic skiing medals!
I must give a shout out to the Freestyle skiers who really kicked butt, and whom I really love to watch! In Freestyle, Jaret Peterson won a Silver, Byron Wilson won a Bronze, Hannah Kearney won a Gold, and Shannon Bahrke won a Bronze.
The United States Olympic team also made history in this 21st Winter Olympic games, taking home 37 medals! This total number of medals surpasses those won by the U.S. in previous Winter Olympic games.!
